Hello!
My name is Erin Servais.
I'm a lot of things.
-
I'm a book editor with 15+ years in the publishing industry.
-
I'm an industry expert featured in the Financial Times.
-
I'm a board of directors member for ACES: The Society for Editing and founder of the Editors Tea Club.
-
I'm a UC San Diego copyediting instructor, and I'm an educator who's taught for the Professional Editors Network, Editors Canada, ACES: The Society for Editing, the Northwest Editors Guild, and others.
-
I'm a dog mother to my rescue pup, a collector of craft supplies I'll never use, and a morning person.
One thing I'm not? A technological genius.
I was a farm girl in the '90s. I grew up around corn, not computers. I went on to graduate college magna cum laude, but I had to get extra help in math.

The reason I was able to excel with ChatGPT and other AI tools so quickly and use them to revolutionize the way I edit is because you don't have to know how to code. This tech isn't just for techies. It's for everyone.

Fundamentally, all you have to know is how to type a question into a box. The tools can do the rest. Where I come in is helping you know the right questions to ask in the right ways to get the best results—and teaching you all of the mind-bendingly amazing things you can do just by asking it these questions.
Through my classes and presentations, I've taught nearly a thousand editors how to use AI in their jobs. The way we work is changing. I want you to be a part of this new era of editing.
